So here's the deal...if you don't fuel your body with the right nutrition, it won't matter how hard you train or how often you train, you just won't get the results you are after. In addition to this, you're more likely to become injured or ill as a result. The right nutrition will speed up your recovery, fill you with energy, boost your immunity and help your body build lean muscle and burn fat both in and out of training.
A LOT of you have mentioned in the last week nutritional changes you would like to make, however from what I'm hearing there's been a big gap between the 'plan' and 'action' phases!
My challenge for you
My challenge for you, therefore, is to make July your 'Do' month. Choose 1 or 2 nutritional changes that you've been talking about and this month start making them today! Do it consistently, do it with full commitment and use the month to instill some new, great, healthier habits.
I'll be joining you
During my first trimester I got into the habit of eating more toast than I would usually, since it was one of the few things that kept my morning sickness at bay. Now though, as I head into my 5th month of pregnancy, I'm feeling GREAT, and there's no excuse for unhealthy eating so I will be swapping my toast-eating habit for healthier alternatives which will include fruit, nuts, full-fat yoghurt, peanut butter on celery/carrot sticks and eggs.
